Pursuit Climbing was born out of the desire to have modern indoor rock climbing right in the heart of Stratford. From Stratford to the cities close by, we wanted a place for everyone to have the convenience and excitiment of rock climbing right in their back yard!

Rock climbing has been one of my favorite past times, since I was in highschool. It made me feel like I was truly in my own body, challenging my self, both mentally and physically. It helped me meet new people and build meaningful relationships. When I am climbing I feel very much so Me. I want everyone to pursue what is truly meaningful to themselves, no matter how scary or challenging. I want others to experience how rock climbing can help you get out of your comfort zone and succeed.

What is bouldering?

Bouldering is a form of rock climbing on smaller rock formations that are closer to the ground. There is no need for ropes or harnesses, you only need climbing shoes! For safety, we use 13" thick foam mats to offer a very soft landing. Bouldering combines problem solving skills, exersize and a social environment. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes! Everyone must fill out a waiver before they can access our facility, including spectators. Children under 18 must have their waiver completed by their parent or guardian.

Do I need to book in advance?

No, just drop by during regular business hours. For birthday parties and group events, please contact info@pursuitclimbing.com to book your group climb.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for a full range of motion.

Do I need to wear climbing shoes?

Yes. Climbing shoes are mandatory for accessing the climbing walls. They keep you safe, help maintain facility cleanliness and provide the optimal climbing experience. No shoes? No Problem! We offer a full line of rental shoes to fit every size foot!

Can I rent climbing shoes?

Yes! We have a full line of rental equipment including shoes, chalk bags and harnesses for all of your climbing needs.

Is there an age requirement to climb?

Nope! All ages are welcome! Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult/guardian at all times. One non-climbing adult/guardian can be responsible for 3 children under the age of 13. One climbing adult/guardian can be responsible for 1 child under the age of 13.

What should I bring?

We reccomend that you bring a pair of indoor shoes (sandals or flip flops) if you plan on removing your climbing footwear. We do not allow bare feet inside the facility. You may also want to bring a water bottle and a bag for any loose items. We have cubbies inside the gym for any of your belongings. We suggest that you leave valuable items inside of your vehicle while you climb.
